Hold onto your hats, because Marjorie Taylor Greene is making a splash! Just days after leaving her role in Congress, she's returning to the familiar territory of 'The View.' This move has everyone talking, and for good reason.
ABC's daytime talk show announced that Greene is slated to appear on January 7th – a mere two days after her departure from Congress. It's a quick turnaround, and it's got people wondering what she's got up her sleeve.
Greene's journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. She's gone from being a staunch supporter of Donald Trump to becoming one of his most vocal critics. This shift has certainly captured the attention of the media and the public alike.
Her previous appearance on 'The View' last month was surprisingly amicable. The hosts engaged in a friendly exchange with the outgoing lawmaker. Greene even complimented the hosts, saying, "I think that all of us here are doing a great job of exchanging our ideas and things that we believe in, and we’re doing it in a very professional and kind way, and in my opinion, I think we need more of that in America."
But here's where it gets controversial... Liberal co-host Joy Behar was so impressed by Greene’s criticisms of Trump that she suggested the lawmaker switch parties. "Maybe you should become a Democrat, Marjorie," Behar quipped. Greene's response? "I’m not a Democrat. I think both parties have failed."
Last week, Greene also made a second appearance on “60 Minutes,” her first interview since announcing her exit from Congress. This prompted a strong reaction from Trump, who lashed out at CBS News and its parent company, Paramount. Trump wrote on Truth Social, "My real problem with the show, however, wasn’t the low IQ traitor [Greene], it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air."
Throughout the year, Greene has made headlines for her criticisms of the Trump administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, healthcare, and foreign policy. And this is the part most people miss...
There's been speculation that Greene's feud with Trump stems from reports that he privately discouraged her from running for Senate in 2026. Greene denies these claims.
Greene cited her growing disillusionment with Washington politics as the reason for her exit, denouncing what she called a corrupt “Political Industrial Complex.” She accused it of using Americans as "pawns in an endless game of division.” She wrote, "Americans are used by the Political Industrial Complex of both political parties, election cycle after election cycle, in order to elect whichever side can convince Americans to hate the other side more. And the results are always the same — nothing ever gets better for the common American man or woman.”
Her announcement came just days after Trump withdrew his endorsement for her, calling Greene “wacky” and “a ranting lunatic.”
